Sonja continues her training as a Nutritional Therapist by regularly attending continuing professional development conferences to keep updated with modern research.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy provides a therapeutic and beneficial diet, combined with supplementation of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients tailored to the individual.

Dietary nutrients feed all the body’s systems more than pure supplements ever can and the foundation of Sonja’s treatment encourages direct uptake of nutrients into the body.

Central to her treatments are regulation of the body’s systems, mineral balancing and detoxification. During treatment the patient undergoes cleansing, detoxifying, stimulating, supporting, calming and re-educating the body’s systems.

What can it treat?

Nutritional therapy treats all different types of conditions and ailments addressing all the body’s systems.

Digestive System

“You are what you absorb NOT what you eat”.

Many digestive problems are caused by the inability to absorb nutrients from the foods we eat.

Some of the most common complaints are:

  • Bloating
  • Constipation
  • Yeast Infections
  • Nausea
  • Flatulence
  • Abdominal Cramps

Immune System

This is the body’s natural defence. People with weakened immune function find it more difficult to fight off infection.

This can result in:

  • Allergies
  • Hay Fever
  • Candida & Thrush
  • Frequent Infections
  • Colds & Flu

Good immune function enables us to build resistance against viruses, bacteria and other invading pathogens.

Endocrine System

This consists of all of the glands within the body that secrete hormones. Hormones have an effect on our moods, metabolism, energy levels and stress levels which can result in:

  • Infertility
  • Low Libido
  • PMS
  • Menopause
  • Exhaustion
  • Weight Changes

Diet influences the body so profoundly that changing it can help resolve many health problems.

  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Depression
  • Fatigue & Tiredness
  • Insomnia
  • Skin Conditions
  • Stress

NB. Nutritional therapy does not and should not replace any recommended treatment from your General Practitioner. Any medical conditions should always be reported to and discussed with your own GP.
